Stir Wins Event Management Company of the Year!

A collaborative ethic has turned Stir! Events into a valuable asset for it’s partners across the local area.

Established two years ago, Stir! Events Ltd is a community-based events company that aims to promote regional businesses through the organisation and management of local events.

Based in Bournemouth but operating throughout the South West of England, the event coordinators have helped arrange music festivals, seasonal events such as Halloween nights and Christmas markets, and have also managed multiple networking seminars and exhibitions on behalf of clients.

Guided by owner Mandy Polkey, Stir Events has a partnership with the landlords of prominent spaces in the area, where they manage the commercialisation of their trading zones. During lockdown, Mandy and her team delivered the first livestreamed vintage festival filmed in a TV studio across two days.

The judges praised the collaborative ethic which has turned Stir Events into a valuable asset for their partners across the local area. The events company recently managed the Shake & Stir Vintage Festival in Southbourne during summer 2021, which was a huge boost for the local economy following the difficulties many businesses faced during the pandemic. With crowds of more than 20,000 people over two days, the festival drew vintage clothing lovers, classic car enthusiasts, locals and holidaymakers, who all gathered to enjoy the event and support local businesses.
