BH10 & 11 Business Association Launches to Boost BCP

As part of BCP Council’s plan for post-pandemic recovery, the newly launched BH10 & 11 Business Association has been given a £34,000 boost. The new association, featuring several prominent members of the local business community, is set to support Kinson by boosting businesses, increasing footfall, and creating a community feeling through a series of local events.

BH10 & 11 Business Association is on a mission to raise the profile of Kinson, encouraging visitors to this historic gateway to Bournemouth. With a grant from the Government’s Additional Recovery Grant 4 scheme, the association plans to beautify the area, and to host serval community events, including a Jubilee Celebration, Home-Start Heritage Walk, and a Farmers Market.

Bob Wright, Chair of the BH10 & 11 Business Association and owner of Poppies Florist said ‘I am delighted that North Bournemouth has been gifted these funds and that the area can look forward to an exciting 2022. This gives us a fabulous opportunity to showcase all that is good in this area from a history, heritage, cultural and community point of view. Kinson and North Bournemouth are areas where growth is happening and can happen more with this kind of support.’

As well as boosting the local area and creating a packed social calendar of events, the association is planning to provide regular support for local businesses. Monthly meetings will be held where business owners can share their ideas, discuss opportunities, and tackle challenges together. The association will also act as a shared voice for the local community, representing the area at BCP Council Meetings and speaking on behalf of Kinson and nearby neighbourhoods.

After the challenging past few years, this neighbourhood looks to have a bright future with the support of the BH10 & BH11 Business Association. To find out more about the group and the plans for Kinson, visit www.bh10-11ba.com.
